The Secure, Mobile, Anti-Jam, Reliable, Tactical-Terminal (SMART-T) Helpdesk was established in response to a growing need for the use of the SMART-T around the globe and with that, a commensurate growth of help desk support to ensure the systems remained operational and online. The SMART-T Helpdesk, located on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, is a 24/7 facility that provides troubleshooting, tracking and repair support for all assets, operational or spared, worldwide. The SMART-T Helpdesk allows for data share amongst programs to identify mean time between failures (MTBF), repair or replacement costs, shipping, configuration management, Item Unique Identification (IUID) implementation and tracking, trend and fault analysis.
Satellite Communications Maintenance Center (SMC) (W15QKN-16-D-0097)
Logistics, network engineering, help desk, technical, and project management support to oversee operations worldwide for the U.S. Army Project Manager for the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (PM TN) Commercial Satellite Terminal Program (CSTP) . The SMC was established in response to a growing need for more information about failures and tracking of trouble tickets. The SMC, located on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, is a 24x7 facility that provides tracking for all assets, operational or spared, worldwide under multiple programs to include, but not limited to, Deployable Ku Earth Terminal (DKET), Secure Internet Protocol Router and Non-classified Internet Protocol Router (SIPR/NIPR) Access Point (SNAP), Micro Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT), Ground to Air Transmit and Receive (GATR), United States Marine Corps (USMC) Very Small Aperture Terminal System (VSATs), and Inflatable SATCOM Antenna. Provided technical support to research and identify sources of replacement components; created technical supply support instructions; and developed inventory and repair stock listings. Developed sparing methodologies; validated IIP spares packages for new and updated equipment; and verified technical documentation. Reviewed, validated, and approved Provisioning Parts Lists (PPLs), including associated technical data packages. Albany, GA staff provided Quality Assurance (QA) functions through development and or review of SL-3s, TIRs, PQDRs, MIs, TIs, and SIs with OEM, MCLB, MCSC, and OPFORs G/S-4. Developed, validated, and recommended approval of technical data packages per Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) engineering support requests.
